CORPORATE HISTORY

1984 - S&S Joinery commenced it's operations in 1984 from freehold premises. - The proprietors were K & S Sherwell and R & W Studdock. Work consisted mainly of kitchens, bathrooms and robes for private dwellings.

1988 - B & F Sherwell join S & S Joinery. - B Sherwell owned Nambour Joinery (Commercial Joinery operation) for 16 years previous. Freehold premises extended to accommodate a Commercial Division.

1991 - S&S Joinery purchase Just Benches. - Just Benches factory relocated, adjacent
to S&S Joinery factory. - R & W Studdock manage Just Benches.

K & S Sherwell and B & F Sherwell manage Domestic and Commercial divisions of S&S Joinery.

1992 - R & W Studdock purchase half of Just Benches.

1993 - Just Benches build new premises. - R & W Studdock purchase Just Benches outright - Hi-tech Machinery implemented for specialized panels, bench tops and high volume componentry.

1993 - S&S Joinery focus on institutional joinery.

1995 - S&S Joinery implement Quality System.

1996 - S&S Joinery Quality System Accreditation achieved via Queensland Government Quality Assessment Unity in June.

1999 - S&S Joinery install Hi-tech Machinery (i.e. Selco Beam Saw & Biesse C.N.C. Router) to accommodate greater volumes of work with increased quality of product.

2003 - S&S Joinery purchased the latest in Professional 3D CAD Software to create
photo realistic rendered pictures for the Upmarket Domestic & Renovation Markets.

2004 - S&S Joinery purchases an additional factory ( #6 Kelly Court ) to accommodate
it's ever increasing volume of work.

S&S Joinery install the latest in Hi-Flow edging machinery (BiesseEdge C.N.C.) to improve on the overall quality of products and increase production.

CORPORATE IDENTITY

S&S Joinery is a Queensland Government endorsed, Quality Assured Cabinet making and Joinery operation, based on the Sunshine Coast .

While the operation in it's current form commenced in 1984, inherent and acquired experience extends far beyond that. Prior to 1984, S&S Joinery's senior proprietor, Bob Sherwell, owned and operated Nambour Joinery for a period of 16 years. Nambour Joinery was one of the few traditional joinery shops on the Coast servicing one of the fastest growing areas in Australia .

Initially, S&S Joinery produced for the private / domestic market, however, over recent years, with the influx of larger corporate and government bodies, a need on the coast for quality commercial joinery has seen our focus move to this area and us take the lead.

Our sister company, Just Benches, accommodates our high volume bench top requirements, allowing us to be dedicated to cabinetry cosmetics, quality and project management, as we believe this to be the area of most benefit to who we serve.

We have become very proficient at institutional type joinery and consequently, also very competitive. Our contracts are not bound to specific locations and interstate opportunities will not be overlooked.

We have expertise in design and construct situations for private as well as commercial ventures including resorts. We are fully computerised and equipped to offer full 3D conceptualisation. Our floor space is currently 1500m2 and our annual turnover averages $8m at this point in time. We employ 50 Permanent Office & Factory staff.
